We need to keep saying that until it sinks into the deep skulls of the Bush worshipers. They never seem to grasp that important fact. We were attacked by Osama bin Laden and the al Qaeda - not Saddam Hussein and the Sunnis. We left the battle against bin Laden in Afghanistan and invaded Iraq. Our country invaded Iraq on a mountain of lies. The CIA, contrary to what the White House says, told them there was no proof of WMDs in Iraq. Even today, the White House continues to lie about this, when they say "everyone" thought Iraq had WMDs, when not even our own CIA thought so.

12. I just had a conversation with my thirteen year old granddaughter

about that very thing. She was telling me how necessary it was that we were over there fighting so they would not come over here and kill us. She informed me what she knows about the war was learned in school. When I told her Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 she said that her teacher had told her differently. She has a very hard time distinguishing between Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or any of the other countries in between. It is all just "over there" to her. After our conversation she was quite confused because I was telling her there was indeed a difference. She is a straight A student as well.. I was truly shocked with her lack of geographical knowledge..
