A man's word is his bond my Dad always told me...
Quotes From Sen. Larry Craig, Others

snip...

"I have little control over what people choose to believe, but clearly my name is important to me and my family is so very important also. Having said that, to pursue my legal options, as I continue to serve Idaho, would be an unwanted and unfair distraction of my job and for my Senate colleagues.

"These are serious times of war and of conflict - times that deserve the Senate's and the full nation's attention. There are many challenges facing Idaho that I am currently involved in. And the people of Idaho deserve a senator who can devote 100 percent of his time and effort to the critical issues of our state and of our nation. Therefore it is with sadness and deep regret that I announce that it is my intent to resign from the Senate, effective Sept. 30."

Sept. 4 - Craig spokesman Sidney Smith:

"It's not such a foregone conclusion anymore, that the only thing he could do was resign. We're still preparing as if Senator Craig will resign Sept. 30, but the outcome of the legal case in Minnesota and the ethics investigation will have an impact on whether we're able to stay in the fight - and stay in the Senate."

Sept. 5, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to reporters:

"He said he is going to try and get the case in Minnesota dismissed." McConnell said Craig told him that if he fails to have his guilty plea dismissed by Sept. 30, "it is his intention to resign from the Senate." If he does win the dismissal of the guilty plea, "it would be his intention to come back to the Senate to deal with the ethics committee case ... and try to finish his term."

Is Larry Craig a "Flipflopper" or just a Liar?

1. Larry Craig's dad probably told him much the same thing.

Either he didn't listen or he "forgot" or decided ethics interfered with his life too much.

7. Are you ready for some football?
I've felt like I've been poisoned all week. I might go fishing tomorrow instead of watching the ballgame. On the bright side...The Blundering Herd is about as good as Notre Dame this year!

9. Now I'm depressed again.
Boo hoo, there is no joy in Mudville.

I'll probably watch the game tomorrow anyway. Stupid me. We're favored to beat Syracuse by 26 points.

3. I believe Larry Craig likes to suck other men's dicks in public bathrooms
which is fine by me as long as he does not expose himself to children. :)

His hypocrisy, on the other hand, is NOT ok, especially since he votes with racists and bigots against the equal treatment of gay people.

He deserves to be hung out to dry by his fellow GOP nazis, and they deserve the albatross.

I am really really enjoying this whole debacle. :D

Me too...I remember how every TV news talking head on the dial, was talking nonstop about how "MORALITY" was the BIG issue that made the GOP and Bush such big winners in the election in 2004. My how the mighty have fallen.(gone down)

5. I'm not sure if we should play this game.
He was trying to salvage a pretty awful situation, just like Clinton tried to do when he "did not have sexual relations with that woman."

8. Did you notice how eager the GOP was to forgive and forget, in...
Bill Clinton's case?

I didn't notice that either.

Bill Clinton never campaigned on sexual issues, or he never claimed he was better than, or more holy than anyone else, because of their sexual preference.

10. Not even close

Why bring Clinton into this? Clinton was relying upon the legal definition. Clinton never had any Legal charges filed against him. The definition of sexual relations given him by the Special prosecuter said oral sex was not considered sexual relations. Clinton repeated that. The American people on the other hand have different interpretations of things. Clinton engaged in a form of sex with a consenting adult (not illegal). Craig was charged and pled guilty to a crime that happened to be of a sexual nature. I don't understand your motives here. The issue is Law breaking by a law maker not sex.. Get over it...

13. Larry admitted his guilt when he pleaded guilty, but then he
flipflopped...he said he was going to quit the senate, but the he flipflopped on that too and now he says he won't leave. Larry does more flips and flops than little Orgy Corbett. I wouldn't trust Larry Craig in a shithouse with a muzzle on!
