1. Why can't Buchanan discuss anything without
screaming or whining?

30. Amen to that--
what a jackass--he is a fucking idiot. 'They're getting free healthcare!' It's not free, you moron, WE are paying for it already. He thinks the louder he yells, the more right he is. Someone needs to slap him onto another continent.

And if he thinks they're going to take my social security away, he's got another thing coming.

Now I know why I don't watch news shows. Thank god Rachel NEVER backs down.

8. Wiki:
A graduate of Castro Valley High School in Castro Valley, California, Maddow later obtained a degree in public policy from Stanford University in 1994. She then received a Rhodes Scholarship in 1995 and used it to obtain a Ph.D. in political science from Lincoln College, Oxford University. Maddow is believed to be the first openly gay American to be awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.<3><4>

Her political activism has focused on AIDS and prisoners' rights, especially the prevention of the spread of HIV and AIDS in prisons. She is also an outspoken advocate for gay and lesbian issues, including same-sex marriage.

Radio career
Maddow got her first radio hosting job at WRNX when the station held a contest for a new on-air personality. She was hired on the spot. She later went on to host Big Breakfast on WRSI, in Northampton, Massachusetts, for two years. She left the show to join the newly created Air America in March 2004. There she hosted Unfiltered along with Chuck D and Lizz Winstead until its cancellation on March 31, 2005. Two weeks later (April 14), her own hour-long program, The Rachel Maddow Show, began airing; it was expanded to two hours on January 2, 2006. It now airs from New York from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

Television career
Maddow was a regular panelist on MSNBC's Tucker. Since the November 2006 election, she has been a frequent guest on CNN's Paula Zahn Now and is regularly on MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann.

10. What qualifies Buchanan to be a pundit? Or Tweety?
Rachel Maddow is a Rhodes Scholar. That doesn't mean she is qualified to do everything but she is at least as qualified to comment on political events as Tweety or *ucker Carlson for chrissakes.

28. Buchanan was a speechwriter, Tweety a Cong aide with Moynihan...
I have a phd too, and I'm a good speaker, funny too, but I'm not sure I belong on the air. I'll look at the Wiki thing.

12. She has her own show to begin with on the radio. She appears
regularly on Keith Olberman's show as a pundit. She has a Phd in something, which is more than I think many of the pundits have including Coultergeist.

6. She's demonstrating that Buchanan's ilk are not long for the tv
She's making so much sense. Fast talking, logical and passionate about the S-CHIP. Meantime, Buchanan is acting like nothing short of a hyena.

11. Fuck Tweety and Pat.
I love it when guys like this argue that they can't fund help for the poor, especially poor children. They never had to struggle for one thing in their lives. I'd pay more for cigs to give more kids health care. And I smoke approx. 2 packs a day.

Edited on Wed Oct-03-07 05:16 PM by Mojorabbit
either but I can afford it. I am pissed off on how they funded it nevertheless. I just got back from feeding homeless with food not bombs and I looked at the people who were smoking after their meal and thought about how fucked up it was that they and a lot of low income people were going to be funding this because congress was too cowardly to fund it fairly.

22. She's been on various MSNBC shows a lot, lately.
She's been on Olbermann, Dan Abrahms, and now Matthews. A regular talking head spot. I wonder if this is a kind of test for my fondest wish of her getting her own show.
