Jon Stewart just ripped "Tweety's" guts out.

Jon read Chris's book and called him out on the bull shit and
the very empty life of seeing your world as a campaign.

1. There is not one so-called new person except maybe KO, in the MSM
who can stand up to Stewart. Compared to Stewart they are brainless worms

That is a sad statement on journalism today, and what is sorely lacking

5. Here is a thought to ponder.
Perhaps John Stewart is the only way the truth can get out.

6. Reminds me of the quote in V For Vendetta
when Evey says: "My father used to say that artists use lies to tell the truth while politicians use lies to cover the truth up"

Welcome to DU! :toast:

7. Although KO was really gentle with Chris Matthews
earlier this evening on Countdown, but Jon let him have it. The difference with Jon is he actually reads the books so he has something intelligent to say. And he didn't like Matthews' book and pointed out the flaws in Matthews' thesis. Jon totally demolished Matthews' tonight. This one is priceless.

2. Jon's going on Tweety's show?
Evidently, Tweety didn't see the "Crossfire" Jon appeared on, when he singlehandedly not only made sure the show didn't survive, he touched off a firestorm around the country that culminated in last year's elections. I believe his comments on that "Crossfire" were that powerful.

I can't WAIT to hear what Jon's going to say to Tweety on his own turf.

4. Jon just *demolished* Tweety, who could just try bullying,
screeching, "This is the WORST interview! You are the WORST! The WORST!" Like repetition makes it so.

Then Tweety continued with his bullying, "You are AFRAID of this book! AFRAID! AFRAID!"

& Jon replied, "Yes, I am afraid of FASCISM!1"

So, what was Tweety's great riposte?!1 "Come on Hardball" Uh, WHY, Tweetster, to boost your pathetic ratings?!1

9. LOL! Sounds like Tweety blew a gasket!
Guess idiots can't just laugh it off. His ego must be really bruised now. Gonna have to call up George and cry in the phone.

10. Tweety's body language as he walked out on stage
caught my attention right off the bat. He knew something was coming. I'm glad Jon skewered him. It was about time someone did.

11. Why does Tweety keep bringing up the Big Dog?
It was almost as he was jealous he wasn't getting any...
