19. It's a bunch of meaningless corporate-speak double talk.

"...efficiently and effectively integrates a wide range of resources and core competencies..."

"...provide unique and timely solutions that exceed our customer’s stated need and expectations."

"...We are guided by integrity, innovation, and a desire for (fill in product/service here)..."

"Our leadership and dedicated family of exceptional employees adhere to an essential system of core corporate values chief among them are integrity, innovation, excellence, respect, accountability, and teamwork."

===

Isn't all this shit straight out of a "Mission Statement" template from MS Word or "Biz Plan Builder?" It's Cliche 101. There isn't one word of substance in those three paragraphs. Read any corporate annual report...they all say the exact same thing. This isn't really a mission statement, it's simply there to provide cover and a sense of legitimately to an otherwise entirely illegitimate organization.

23. The Blackwater Mission Statement, interpreted.
"...efficiently and effectively integrates a wide range of resources and core competencies..."

We take a bunch of disgruntled, PTSD'd-out ex-military men and give them high-powered weapons and immunity from prosecution.

----

"...provide unique and timely solutions that exceed our customer’s stated need and expectations."

We use extra-legal BushCo-era quasi-military terror tactics to gun down anything that moves."

----

"...We are guided by integrity, innovation, and a desire for (fill in product/service here)..."

We are guided by money, cash money, contract money, and a desire to make more money by killing people for fun and profit.

----

"Our leadership and dedicated family of exceptional employees adhere to an essential system of core corporate values chief among them are integrity, innovation, excellence, respect, accountability, and teamwork."

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! We're here to protect Dick Cheney's oil interests. Fuck anyone who gets in our way.

27. Conflict of Interest
We are guided by integrity, innovation, and a desire for a safer world.

If the world was indeed safer, then there'd be no need for Blackwater. War is good for business, and I doubt these guys want it to end any time soon.

29. "America's Holy Warriors"

Erik Prince<31> is "the secretive, mega-millionaire, right-wing Christian founder of Blackwater, the private security firm that has built a formidable mercenary force in Iraq," Chris Hedges wrote December 31, 2006, in Truthdig.<32>

Prince "champions his company as a patriotic extension of the U.S. military. His employees, in an act as cynical as it is deceitful, take an oath of loyalty to the Constitution.<33> These mercenary units in Iraq, including Blackwater, contain some 20,000 fighters. They unleash indiscriminate and wanton violence against unarmed Iraqis, have no accountability and are beyond the reach of legitimate authority. The appearance of these paramilitary fighters, heavily armed and wearing their trademark black uniforms, patrolling the streets of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, gave us a grim taste of the future. It was a stark reminder that the tyranny we impose on others we will one day impose on ourselves," Hedges wrote.<32>

Is there any doubt that it is another Crusade? Same as a thousand years ago. Economic (oil) and religious reasons.

31. The Snake calling itself a Frog...
Capitalism calling itself democracy...

http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/08/31/3521/

--snip--

Capitalism with its obsessive and necessary appetite for consumption, expanding markets, resource depletion, and increasing profits has consumed democracy. Have you ever watched a small snake swallow a large frog? The snake’s hinged jaw stretches wider and wider, squeezing the frog millimeter by millimeter into its gullet until finally the snake looks like the Holland Tunnel might if it had devoured the Titanic. Then the acids and enzymes do their corrosive work. The frog becomes the snake. And the snake claims it is the frog. Capitalism has gulped down democracy and claimed it is democracy. When, immediately after 9/11, President Bush advised Americans to demonstrate their love of freedom and their resistance to terrorism by courageously, selflessly, hurrying to the mall to buy something, he was speaking as the snake that identifies itself as a frog. He was asking us to play a little game with our brains’ synapses, replace the snake icon with the frog’s. Sadly, he may also have been speaking about democracy in the only way that he can understand or recognize it. And, for him, Christianity has been another tidy meal for the snake.
