If I could change America...
...there would be no need for a major motion picture like Rendition.

...shoppers wouldn't be hassled for a "discount card" at their supermarket that shares their personal information with market research wonks and law enforcement officials.

...a middle school student could check out a book at the public library without having his name added to a secretive government database.

...the only military operations that Blackwater would be involved in would be chasing down Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

...we would have caught bin Laden while he was still in Afghanistan, thus rendering any need for Blackwater inoperative.

...not a single American would die waiting for necessary medical treatment because of economic sabotage from partisan bloggers.

...high-fructose corn syrup would disappear from our milk and soft drinks, thus cutting down on America's obesity problem.

...election fraud would be a crime punishable by a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

So now that you've heard me out, how would you change America?

4. White Flour=Poison
Add white flour to that list.

White flour has killed more Americans than any other food source. Period.

5. The government would exist to protect the people
from the powerful.

All other changes would flow from there.

6. I would change the media. I would make it so that journalists
were as objective as possible. I know some bias is inevitable, but I would make it illegal to intentionally color a story.

I would make Civics a mandatory class in high school.

I would make it easy for everyone to vote by having a national day off for voting.

Then I think a lot of the other stuff would take care of itself.

8. Critical Thinking mandatory from 1st grade through 12th grade.
Free/low cost Health Care for all Citizens. Rein in the health insurance companies, they are money sucking black holes. They should not have a say in our medical treatment.
