I have heard this from several right wingers. While I don't think for a moment that President Carter is anti-Semitic, I wonder if you came across passages that could be misconstrued and tortured into that position.

I expect it's because Carter wants decent treatment for Palestinians from Israel.

I'm Jewish, but not a Zionist, (I don't support theocracies) and I get to hear all sorts of crap from the whackos. Even some very secular Jews think that Israel is god's gift -- WTF?

I know that Carter is as sensitive to human rights as any president we've had, maybe more. But I haven't read the book that I've heard people call anti-Semitic. All I've said to them so far is "I don't think so. Show me." So far, they haven't yet.
