What a headline.

Thomas: ‘Left-wing zealots’ worse than the KKK.

3. His law clerks were unavailable to write said scholary work.
As much as they are ideologically offensive, compare Roberts' and Alito's and Scalia's resumes to Thomas. The difference is...bizarre.

He is just not all that smart.

5. Even granting all of Thomas's arguments ...
... it's difficult to accept that criticism by "left-wing zealots" is worse than being lynched by the KKK.

8. Do you honestly believe "high tech lynching" came from him? I'm surprised
it wasn't a children't book:

"My name is Clarence. I was poor, black, and Catholic. I became a radical at Yale*. But then, I got employed by a Reagan Republican and saw the White--er, Light (OOPS, giggle!). Soon I became a Supreme Court Justice who had no opinion on abortion. Then I wrote a whiny book that a popular TV show helped me sell.

America is a great country for Republicans.

*If you believe that, I have a lovely bridge for sale...

11. You forget - 'I have no opinion about
Brown v the Board of Education and have NEVER discussed it in my entire career with anyone at any time.'

NAACP called him a liar then and I still agree.

What an offensive putz.

Why can they hide behind the Constitution? Why are we letting them? He has no background in Constitutional law... that's why he never has anything to say. He's a shill for the Republicans. How he can live the lie that is his life, I have no idea.

19. He's not a scholar, but he is a Justice
No matter how evil his influence and his legacy, he was confirmed by the Senate, so the title is correct and should not be in quotes.

20. I trust you understand that the word justice has more than one meaning?
I, too, would put "Justice" in quates regarding a man who has written precious few opinions but parrotted RW think-tanks in his speaking and indeed made them ostensibly into law.

I see no disrespect--only a play on words.

21. A foolish play on words
That technique is used constantly here on DU, and it's absurd, not clever.
