But isn't a dialog what we need to avoid another war? This guy, no matter how we feel about him, is the leader of a country that we need to develop a dialog with, and every president has had to deal with leaders he doesn't particularly like, such as Stalin or Mao, but that's what leaders do. It's called diplomacy. *sigh*

There will be no chance of achieving world peace unless Bush* bites the bullet and begins a dialog with leaders that he doesn't particularly like. So what? That's his job. Did FDR have warm feelings toward Stalin? And even Nixon opened the door to China, one of the world's most repressive regimes, because he had the intelligence to realize that it was necessary...:eyes:

Bush* is doing us, and the world, no favors, by ignoring anyone he doesn't happen to like. Clinton opened the doors to negotiating with the Middle East (especially Israel/Palestine) (well, so did every other other American president, until Bush*), North Korea, he could charm anybody. Bush* should take a page from his book, or FDR's, or even Nixon's, for Christ's sake, if he is really sincere in keeping us safe. But I'm afraid that this is not his agenda. Really afraid.:scared:

That is just really depressing....You can disagree with someone, their views, their opinions etc. but to not want to allow them to speak? Wow, just wow is all I can say.

And the saddest part? Is that maybe Americans should listen to what he has to say, because while we can disagree on some matters, the bottom line is that they have no desire to go to war with us. It's the Bush administration and GOP Neo-cons who are beating the drums of war again, just like they did with Iraq. Letting this man engage in debate may actually be what brings peace and avoid war, yet almost half of the people don't want him to even speak?
