Anyone? Is There Anyway to Helpt Afghan Women? Any Organization?
Does anyone know if there are organizations that help Afghan women? Is there anyway to just take an Afghan widow to help out?

I just watched Cnn's Lifting the Veil yesterday and my first reaction was that maybe there was a way to actually give support to one of the widows. Their lives are so awful. Is their anyway to help?

by a husband or father..

The sad thing is that in the 50's Afghanistan was not at all like now.. A woman made a documentary ( I forget the name of it now) about how it used to be.. She wore western clothing as a young woman, went to college, and the desolate areas of the country were once productive agricultural areas.. She interspersed the documentary footage with photographs & family films of the same places as she traveled around..

Fundamentalist religion can and does destroy countries.. It probably takes 3-4 times longer to get rid of that thinking, than it does to adopt it..

The men in charge will NEVER willingly give up powers they have now..
