The movie "Bobby" reminded me that R Kennedy didn't enter the race until about March '68, after some primaries were already held. And it seemed like he was going to win the primary.

So, a couple of comparisons to today

It's not too late for Al to enter the race. In fact, he has a few months before it gets unrealistic. He doesn't have until March '08, because too many primaries have moved to earlier dates.

Back then, the early primaries were small states, so someone could enter after a few primaries and still win. Now, with big states holding early primaries, there's little chance of a repeat. Only the early big money has much of a chance today.

Could Al pull a late win out of the hat, like R Kennedy? But with a happier ending?
