I fucking hate to say that, but on CNN he is ripping McCain and bu$h* apart on the war in a way that I've heard few democrats. imho

3. Why? because he's not RUNNING for office anymore.
When ANY politician has to be "on the record" or is running for office, they turn into mushy-middle, mealy-mouthed liars.. They never want to say anything that "could' cost them a stinking vote..no matter how many people end up dying because of their tentative talk..:grr:

But comparatively speaking, Hagel is better than any of the Republican candidates...as conservatives go. I would never consider a vote for him. It seems to get lost sometimes that the enemy of my enemy isn't always my friend. I am reminded of that every time someone starts posting nice things about him.
