Senate Resolution: use "military instruments" against Iran

Ahmadinejad's upcoming visit to New York City is providing the perfect opportunity to move us closer to a war with Iran. Our Neofascist friends over at National Review couldn't help spill the beans on the next significant step toward war with Iran which is coming up on Tuesday or later in the week.

The resolution — an amendment to a defense appropriations bill — is sponsored by Jon Kyl, Joseph Lieberman, Norm Coleman, and Lindsey Graham. It expresses the sense of the Senate that the U.S. should "combat, contain, and roll back" Iran’s "violent activities and destabilizing influence inside Iraq." It counsels doing so "through the prudent and calibrated use of all instruments of (U.S. power), including diplomatic, economic, intelligence, and military instruments." It also urges the administration to designate the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NzcyNGM1YjJjZDE0MzUwYWNmYTY5ZGM3YzI4Yzk5ZjI=

1. I'm sure that bill comes directly from Darth Cheney's office
If the dems let that pass, we are toast.

2. Seriously, what does it take to Remove War Criminals????
Cheney, Bush, Rice , Rumsfeld are all War Criminals. The Congress doesn't give a rats ass about the troops, since they voted recenltly to keep them there through JUne of 2008. And what will they accomplish by staying there.
I feel like I am going insane.
While the USA has been in Iraq and the Bushies and the Freepers say we should and need to be there because we need oil, how much money has been spent? 500 Billion dollars???? That money could have been spent on working toward getting the USA off of fossil fuels, could have been spent on getting the USA to be a more sustainable economy, could have been spent on reinvesting in infrastructure, or education, or mass transit, or european style-urban planning, or developing a national electric car transit development system(the electric car ran briefly in Cali,).
Wait a minute! ALl of that stuff would make too much sense! We couldn't do that! The USA is the dumbest, most idiotic, backward, racist, beholden to global corporatists, xenophobic, ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!:argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: country on the planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe if this ACTUALLY HAPPENS, God forbid, the Democrats in conress will find their spines and get a few morally outraged GOPers who are sitting on the fence to FINALLY IMPEACH the mother*$@&ers!!!!! All of them! HR 333??!!!! Screw that!
Get them all out before the world spins into international depression and chaos!
    :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
