The Battle Hymn of the RepublicS
Been working on this puppy all evening. I welcome additions, corrections amendments, and opinions...

To the tune of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic"

Mine eyes are crossed from stories of an ever warming world;
but my pResident invades the place where fossil fuels are stored;
The Brits have left, and Spain has fled, and there went Singapore;
But don't forget the Poles.
Glory! Glory! Halliburton! Glory! Glory! Halliburton!
Glory! Glory! Halliburton! Petraeus marches on.

When George Bush brought the turkeys to our brave troops in Iraq
He bolted to the Green Zone hoping no one took a whack;
Al-Qaeda was too busy finding pipelines to attack;
So George lucked out again.
Glory! Glory! Dodge the bullets! Glory! Glory! Dodge the bullets!
Glory! Glory! Dodge the bullets! The photo ops go on.

I saw him watch New Orleans take a category five
then fly to Mississippi where his faithful base reside;
The Dems be damned; they don't vote red, so why should he waste time?
New Orleans doesn't count!
Glory! Glory! Hurricane watch! Glory! Glory! Hurricane watch!
Glory! Glory! Hurricane watch! His base keeps marching on.

With electronic voting I no longer have to steal;
but so much fraud has happened, I no longer know what's real;
Did Hoffa really run this time? Or, did I screw the deal?
The ballot box is gone.
Glory! Glory! Hide the Voting! Glory! Glory! Hide the Voting!
Glory! Glory! Hide the Voting! As Diebold marches on.

George sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
So long as he is safe at home, he won't accept defeat;
Let others fight, and bleed and die, till victory's complete;
While George just watches on.
Glory! Glory! Hard of hearing! Glory! Glory! Hard of hearing!
Glory! Glory! Hard of hearing! King George says "Bring it on"!

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born for you and me,
But George has asked the Lord instead to keep him company:
George asked the Lord's advice, on 911 and all, you see;
And God said bomb Iran.
Glory! Glory! Hearing voices! Glory! Glory! Hearing voices!
Glory! Glory! Hearing voices! Iran is next in line.

He is bringing forth the rapture that his loyal base has craved,
He is manna to the wealthy, He is horror to the slave;
And the world shall be His footstool, 'till we all beg for the grave,
Our George keeps marching on.
Glory! Glory! Egomania! Glory! Glory! Egomania!
Glory! Glory! Egomania! Our George keeps trampling on.

1. I should throw down some music and vocals and post it in the Video place.
But I don't know how to operate all this crap I bought to do that.

I wish my son was here.

That is some really cool work, Xipe Totec.

3. Thanks!
It could stand a little polish too; some of the rhymes are strained.

:hi:

6. strained rhymes?
I know all about that shit.

Here's one of mine.

The gentle winds of change, I hear the sound
It stirs the quiet desert sand
I ride the rails of joy and sorrow down
Into the canyons of this Land

Thru my windshield I see Fear and Faith
Rich and Poor from town to town
One owns a Bible and one owns a safe
But neither walk on common ground

Tonight I'm driving across America
Mister, can I talk to you?
Tonight I'm driving across America
Oh, say, can't you see what I've been through?

I see a Black Man with his hands held high
I see a fatherless son
I see a policeman who wonders why
He keeps his tears locked in his gun

And I see a White Man with his eyes blood red
'cause he's been told what he should feel
And I see too many women cut to shreds
And taking half their lives to heal

Tonight I'm driving across America
Mister, can I talk to you?
Tonight I'm driving across America
Oh, say, can you see what I see, too?

We rise and fall from Sea to Shining Sea
Balancing Freedom and Change
Waiting for a Purple Mountain Majesty
To be our Saviour when it rains

Tonight I'm driving across America
Mister, can I talk to you?
Tonight I'm driving across America
Oh, say, can you see what I see through?
