I just thought of the perfect comeback to the right-wing argument that man is not creating the fluctuations in climate. They'll tell you, look, nature creates the kind of environmental factors that deplete ozone. Just one massive volcanic eruption damages the ozone more than mankind can.

To which you reply, yes, but we're getting hit with all the negatives of nature, without being able to rely on the positives that came from nature to offset them. Take deforestation, for instance. Trees don't just help clean the air, they also help reduce erosion of the land.
