My second post at the DU or something, back in 2004
Was these pictures.

Little did I know about this place and the people here back then. And how this place would change me, and probably you as well.
We're kinda evolving?

BTW. These pics were all taken back in the 90's. It was another world, and I hope you remember it too.

1. Don't know why, but this post made me all teary-eyed.
I told my Dad recently that the best thing he ever taught me was to ask "why". Question everything; always try to find the answers and look for what's beyond the surface.

2. My dear mogster...
Thank you for the beautiful pics...

I do remember that time, though dimly...

This place has changed me, and how!

I am a much better, as well as different, person now...

To DU!

Long may it endure...

4. Thanks mogster, it made me teary-eyed too
Beautiful pics of a place I'd love to spend some time. It's a shame there are too many other things to do.

11. When things look better
We'll go fishing, lol. Politics takes much of my time as well. Just to stay informed takes (too) much time.

5. I'd turn this into a Youtube video for you if I knew how.
All it needs is the right theme song!

14. I'll suggest 'Granchester meadows' by Pink Floyd
It is the most weird song; you can listen to it a thousand times, then at listen 1001 you hear the bird tweets in the background are looped :-o

13. With longtime DUers being labeled trolls and the Fight Club going on in GD/P
it's a wonderful reminder that we all share a goal--a better, brighter USA.

I remembered that beautiful sentimennt you brought us and what a great reminder.

Thank you, mogster. K&R.

15. It's tough being a Dem when the owners of the media have targeted you as the enemy.
And it means you capitulate to them as some Dems have or stick to principle of who you are and the constitution you choose to protect.

But, it will NEVER be easy again - - ever. Unless, of course, the facsists are exposed fully.

Thanks for the thread.

17. A great post, either as the 2nd or 20k
The term evolution often comes to mind when I think of my personal journey since I've come to DU.

At least you came here wise...

Thanks for a calming and beautiful post on such a maddening day.

18. These pictures make me homesick for northern MN and the 90's!
Sometimes I wish I could go back....it was a simpler time because I knew less....sad but true.

DU has taught me a lot.....and caused me some sleepless nights!

Thanks for re-posting the pictures....I do miss MN.
