1. Wouldn't have made any difference
and on the important vote today, I believe Obama voted right.

3. So Obama was in D.C. ?
I assumed he was out of town and that is the reason he did not vote.

5. Obama voted aye on Boxer,
and didn't vote at all on Cornyn.

Clinton voted aye, and no, respectively.
Dodd voted aye, and no, respectively.
Biden didn't vote on either of them.

I like Obama. But, he disappointed me with his non-vote on Cornyn, after having voted aye on Boxer.

4. It makes a difference to this voter
Yes, the amendment would have passed anyway - but I want to know where the 3 stand. Particularly Obama, who has been my favorite (so far) for the Dem nomination.

Non-votes like this on something symbolically very important could make a DIFFERENCE for folks debating who to support in the primaries. They should have voted!

So indeed I think it DOES make a difference.

2. Maria Cantwell was too busy studying her GOP BlastFax
I wish we could actually get a Democrat in that seat. It would be nice.

Sincerely,

7. Biden and Obama weren't there.
Obama left early to go to Atlanta for a rally.

8. As for Maria, ducking the vote was probably a good thing..considering her record.
Her previous votes supporting the war cost her my vote in '06.
