Randi Rhodes is a forceful voice and really knows her shit, BUT........

why is she so condescending and nastily sardonic to her callers, even the ones who clearly agree with her point of view?
A caller today asked her if she'd heard about the events in Jena, Louisiana. The caller didn't have all of the details and spoke in general terms, and Randi belittled her and then mocked her after the call ended. I've noticed that she does that regularly to callers, making them feel like they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.
I love Randi's show when she's dishing out info and talking (alone) about an issue, and even when she has a guest on who she can't run roughshod over (like Greg Palast), but I can't listen otherwise.

Randi HATES Kerry.

Founded or not, she does NOT want to hear the whole story.

When Randi gets mad, her ears turn off, and her mouth goes into overdrive.

I am FURIOUS at Randi right now, but I will probably get over it eventually.

The other night while driving, I turned on my radio and there he was .. making NO SENSE (as usual).
Apparently, Randi's show had been replaced with "Lionel's".
I immediately turned OFF my radio and chuckled to myself, thinking, "no one is listening to him".

20. I don't know about her physical problems, but she has such

talent and good will it leaves me despairing that she seems to be coming apart at the seams sometimes.

She always talks about how shy she is....how she doesn't accept invitations....how she always does something awful when put in front of other people in a social context. Perhaps her new found popularity and recognition is causing some internal conflict. If you really are awkward in public settings, then going on a cruise with a bunch of worshipers, traveling over the weekend to meet fans in Phoenix or anywhere else, being on call for all kinds of public relations isn't really satisfying. And yet, anyone in such an occupation craves attention and recognition.

Maybe she has a bit of tendency of some males who seem to relish the chase but don't really want the prize.

28. i listen every day on the way home from work, and it's getting

worse lately. She has always had a tendency to be rude to callers, even those who agree with her, but the last few weeks I think she's been rude to every single caller that has made it onto her show! And I'm talking about people who are dems.

I feel like she loses a listener everytime she takes a call, because I can't imagine those people ever tuning in again after being blasted like that.

I think her ego is waaay out of control. ("I WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING, WHY ARE YOU ALL SO STUPID!")
