Can freepers not see what privatization is doing to this country?

How can they advocate this with such zeal and then scream like they were boiled in oil because a Mexican comes across the border to pick oranges?
Do they not realize that by advocating privatization, they are advocating the loss of infrastructure maintenance in their town--that same town where their spouses and children and friends and family drive on the streets and bridges?
They are also advocating the loss of what was once a "good job" working for the city. A job that usually had health insurance and a pension?
They are advocating giving a contract to a company who is not going to charge them less for the same services...but it going to hire people at a fraction of the cost--including illegal immigrants without any type of benefits at all? It's their profit margin. The same profit margin that went to produce a GOOD job for their neighbor now lines some nameless, faceless corporation pockets. I mean, have they thought this out?
They are actually ending up paying MORE because these low paid workers for these private companies NOW qualify for food stamps and Medicaid.
They need to take a good long look. Has their city bill gone down at all since it was privatized?
Take another look. The man that is picking up my garbage is ALSO driving the truck. He stops it, gets out, dumps my garbage and then drives the truck off again. This was a job that once had 3 people doing it. One driving, one on each side of the road.
Back then, I got my garbage picked up 2-3 times a week--for the same price I am paying now for a once-a-week pickup.
Why is something so simple so difficult for them to comprehend?

that everything they foam at the mouth over--privatization being one of them--does not benefit them at all.
It provides cover for the corporations to deplete our funds.
The ONLY ones that benefit are the corporations.
We lose on service, our taxes go UP to cover the Medicaid and Food Stamps for not only fired municipal employee, but for the low-paid corporate employee as well.

16. Interesting I had a conversation today..............

with an aged Freeper, he was complaining that the government should pay private nursing homes money for taking care of seniors. I explained that for the most part they are taking the person SS check and whatever else they can get. Where I live there is a county run home built at the old poor house and it takes millions to keep it up and running. I told him old Ronnie decided to privatize stuff and its led to a whole trend. He couldn't understand that these homes cut corners to make the most profit at the expense of the elderly. He was upset because they hire barely skilled workers and don't pay much attention to the patients. I told him its called warehousing.
