16. Well, they actually could have given us a lot more trouble

circa D-Day before we really got established on the continent if they had approached their defense differently. They should have kept the defenses minimal on the shore, keeping their forces fairly tight inland, and then countered when they found out exactly where we were landing. We probably wouldn't have been able to stay on land, had they done that.

We would have ended up nuking them, eventually, though. Maybe we would have negotiated something out. Don't know.
