The reasons I did not watch Bush's speech
Like most Americans, I am in disagreement with most of George W. Bush's policies and politics. But that is not the reason I am repelled at the sight of the man. I have been an adult since the time of John Kennedy and have disagreed with most Presidents. But I have never had a personal dislike for any. Not even Nixon or Johnson. But there are things about Bush that make me want to leave the room when I see him on TV.

Why does even the thought of him disgust me ? Let me count the reasons.

(1) In 2000 and while governor of Texas, Bush was being interviewed about the upcoming execution of Carla Faye Tucker. He mimicked Carla's plea in a high pitched voice. "Pwease don't kill me". He killed her anyway.

(2) In 2001 During the hours following the 9-11 attack, Bush traveled by air from Florida to Louisiana to Montana seeking shelter and safety while his country was looking for leadership.

(3) In 2003, announcing his decision to order American bombers to drop tons of bombs on Baghdad's civilian population, Bush clinched his fist, pumped his arm and hissed "Feels good!"

(4) In 2004 I was reading an article that described how Bush -- as a young boy -- use to catch frogs, put a firecracker in their mouth, light it, and throw them in the air to watch them explode.

Any person advancing to the position of leader of a state or a nation will occasionally be called upon to make decisions that will cause the death of other humans. It goes with the office. But no civilized man gets enjoyment out of doing so. Bush appears to.

Let us be thankful that our nation has only 16 more months of the person as President.

4. I did not watch, he truly insults the American people, he could not
care less about us or this country. He is not the brightest bulb. Damn him, someone or somebody has to challenge his ass.

7. I do not watch Bush because it may be hard on my TV
I like my TV. A lot. It brings me Keith Olbermann and Amy Goodman. It might get broken if I saw Junior on it.

10. Maybe you have the same problem as I do........
I have a real problem with the body language of that man. His words say one thing, and his body language and facial expression says something totally different.

It's very hard to watch; like fingernails on a blackboard.

12. I wasn't home but I accidentally recorded the speech instead of The Office.
When I realized it, I immediately deleted it. I can't stand to hear his voice. He's a nightmare that has gone on for far too long.
