Poll question: Dems mandate was to end war and impeach, correct?
Given that the 110th Congress has failed to even remotely discharge the wishes of the American people and having only tossed us a couple of bones, ie: min. wage hike, and er...ummm...somebody help me out here - is there a real possibility that the apathy generated could be debilitating to the Dems in '08?

(This poll inspired by the discussion occuring in jgraz's post here:

This is what the Democrats are creating. This is what we're going to be up against in 2008 if the Democrats continue to enable this criminal regime. People are starting to give up, which is exactly what will put the GOP back into power. - jgraz

Here is my take: I think there is a good chance that apathy can have a substantial negative impact in the number of people voting. There's nothing like going to the trouble of voting only to find that your mandate has been tabled. So, yes, there will be some people who have better things to do. However, there has never been a more important election in the history of this country and if we can manage to keep people engaged and if we can get the vote out and encourage those we hear that are discouraged, we can and we will win in '08.
