Over at Jim Robinson's FreeRepublic....
...they put this laughable poll up. Seems like they are praying, braying and hoping for Duncan Hunter or some other non-event to run against Clinton.

Click on the (un)surprising results here: http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=171;results=1

Let's just say that Hillary (or someone equally as vile) gets the Democrat nomination and a pro-life, anti-gay marriage, pro-gun, pro-defense, pro-borders, pro-small government, pro-low taxes, peace through superior firepower patriot gets the Republican nod. Who would you vote for in the general?

Hillary

The Patriot with the big "R"

Third Party

Stay home

Undecided/too dumb to vote

4. I've just spent my Saturday night over there, curious as to their reaction
to Barack's announcement. Through all of the vile rhetoric I get the feeling they are very, very worried about him. Some of their saner posters said that the media loves him, he is handsome, articulate, smart, etc. and they should be worried. I read other stuff too, then left there to take a shower. Awful people.

6. Obama is a Christian
Yet, the sickos want to identify him with Muslim terrorists. Freerepublic does not equate thinkers.

Although, I don't know who's going there or why. They don't seem to have as many active members.

Probably all the news media looking for talking points.

11. "peace through superior firepower"
*sigh*

Peace is/can/should be more than just an absence of war.

19. Maybe they want to get rid of GWB and GWB's policies.
Let's just say that (...) pro-borders, pro-small government (...) patriot gets the Republican nod.

Or perhaps they are merely delusional. Pro-borders? Pro-small government?

peace through superior firepower

Now a war in Iraq is peace? Maybe he meant "war through superior deception"?

anti-gay marriage

At least they support some stable relationships and oppose some promiscuity. It's unfortunate that they don't oppose homosexual promiscuity and that they don't consider stable homosexual relationships to be better than homosexual promiscuity.
