I get doom and gloom feelings in my stomach fairly regularly, but they pass... not lately.
This past week I have been haunted by a feeling of dread. I fear no one will stop this administration and I'm terrified about Iran.

5. I know the feeling well

The thing that concerns me most lately is there seems to be a time limit and this is quickly running out .

I feel the more the bush admin feels pressured the more likely they are to react .

This Iran thing seems to keep building up in pressure and these freaks just don't seem to care who is against this . Most of all they can attack Iran and once this starts what's to stop it .

I didn't thing Iraq would be attacked , I did think they would go after Afghanistan but only to seek out Bin not blow the place to bits and occupy it too . Not that I believed bush and his smoke him out bull , I just thought this country was smarter than this . Guess not .

6. Having an imbicilic fratboy president waving his jockstrap at the world can be unsettling.
I've been feeling a bit more than uneasy when he dispatches more ships to the Persian Gulf and levers up the provocations, complete with mysterious "reports" of Iran's "interference" in our new province.

Memories of WMD's, Al-queda connections, and another gulf in SE Asia by the name of Tonkin, are coming back all too frequently.

7. This administration is losing credibility with each passing day
With our citizens and the world. Putin outright declared the U.S. under Bush wants to dominate the world.

Remember, China owns much of our debt. We don't/can't function in a vacuum, economically or otherwise. W is licking his chops to wipe out another nation and take their oil, but the world won't let him. He may not listen to us, but the world can shut him down.

8. perhaps
But if bush does attack what are they going to do , bomb the US , china may hold our debt but america is one of chinas all time consumers of crap .

I don't know what the end result will be but no one stopped them from attacking Iraq .

10. Work out, plant a garden, mentor a kid I always say. We human beings
have to pace ourselves. If the news is causing too much stress..take it in smaller doses. Really - we don't want you warn down for the campaigns to come in a year. Try relaxation tapes and belly breathing. Your health is important. We all need balance. And if the drum beat over Iran is getting to you.. work out that stress any way you can.

16. The worst part is having that fear and then knowing, just knowing
that no one would do a thing to stop it.

That we most probably have STILL not learned our lesson. (We being our representatives in gov't., of course. We, being DU, certainly know better).

21. Grab a porn movie, have some rum, and light up a smoke
if we are going out, might as well have a blast while doing it :)

I know what you are saying though, I remember a tv show about nostradumbass and the war in the middle east and how the purple turban dude pissed off the black man from the new city (obama/america?). I thought about that today actually. Maybe he was no prophet...but then, maybe he was.

24. "$800 billion of adjustable-rate mortgages will reset to higher payments this year
and 1 of 11 home loans is both adjustable and sub-prime."

Just reading about what is happening to everyone caught in this HSBC/New Century mortgage lending circus, so I share your doom and gloom feelings. You are watching one type of bomb and my eyes are watching another.

Living in Bush's world is not safe.
