Man Attacks Attorney In Courtroom

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Deputies on Tuesday used a Taser on a man who is accused of holding churchgoers at gunpoint during a robbery.

Wendall Hollingsworth (pictured, below) kicked defense attorney Scott Weisman. In a struggle to restrain him, a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy was inadvertently shocked by his partner's Taser.

Hollingsworth was immediately removed from the courtroom, 10TV News reported.

A short time later, the defendant came to back the courtroom heavily restrained and wearing a spit guard.

Weisman and the judge attempted to continue with the proceedings, Hollingsworth interrupted and demanded to be taken back to his cell.

One of the things so wrong about this country is our total lack of support for low-income people who need mental health care. We leave them to die on the streets and haul them to jail when they act out. If they get violent, we beat them into submission or kill them. It's barbaric.
