HERE IS THE FREEDOM ALLIANCE'S TAX FORM FOR 2006
...and there are going to be some pissed off soldiers out there!
On Sept. 11, Sean Hannity and Ollie North are going to have their final "Freedom Concert" for the year at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. They say the proceeds are going to support the families of injured troops, but as we have noted repeatedly (see right hand side bar), it seems like the charity, Ollie North's Freedom Alliance, benefits more than the troops do. Now we have something you might want to take a look at before you head out to Six Flags on Tuesday. We have obtained the Freedom Alliance's 29-page tax form for 2006. When we first went after them we said that the law requires all charities to give at least 65% of all monies recieved to those they are benefitting, yet they were at around 55%. This year we were told they were at 70%. This tax form, however has painted another figure. In 2006, the Freedom Alliance made over $14 million. Of that, the total Grants and Contributions to soldiers, their families, as well as to a number of colleges, total a paltry $397, 900! Perhaps we are reading it wrong. Maybe you can provide a different take than we have. Perhaps Sean and Ollie can explain what the hell is going on. Take a look at the tax form, which we PDFed for your viewing pleasure, and get back to us with your take. You can bet we are going to stay on this well after Tuesday's show, because if Sean does these concerts next year, we need to make sure that they don't make more money than the man or woman who just got their legs blown off in Iraq and nothing to show for it but their exploitation.

4. Oh Hannity - what an asshole.
What price did he EVER pay for the country - would he ever pay?

He sure talks alot - with no back up at all.

He is strictly minor league right now - of no more consequence than the Pirates in the division race.

Really. ANd that is so sad for the Pirates.

Joe

5. The only reason that I can see why the IRS isn't all over this is
that they are carrying a large balance in the "Charity" that hasn't been dispersed...

That's all I can see...

You know, $ 2,500.00 doesn't even cover the cost of one semester class anymore in any half way decent college...

How piss poor greedy are these people...

It seems to me they are in the business of empoying a few people while accumulating a rather large portfolio...

Oh that and the publicity they are getting from all of there "good" work for the troops...

6. further reading shows that they have a huge promotional budget
it's not so much a money-making scheme
as it is a farce to make Sean Hannity and Ollie North appear to support the troops they advocate placing in harm's way

7. Let's run this down:
Some greedheads start a war for oil money, other greedheads profit mightily through no-bid contracts granted by the first set of greedheads, then still other greedheads pocket a lot of money that's supposed to be going to support families of wounded soldiers whom the government (run by the first set of greedheads) can't be arsed to support.

OK. I think I understand now.

9. I always prayed - one day - I could meet the guy in discussion.
He has nothing - he strikes wildly -

He really shouldn;t be that hard to screw with.

He isn't that smart - and he clearly has no idea the cost of a war.

I think the asshole still plays with plastic soldiers.

12. Excuse me, this is a post by the Freedom Police
I must remind you that per Article 16, Paragraph 2 of the Freedom Patriot America Victory Apple Pie Act it is a federal offense to criticize anything with "freedom" in the title (Operation Iraqi Freedom, et al).

Besides, what's wrong with earning money? Do you all hate the rich or something?

17. Could it be??????
That the money collected, which it is advertized as being for scholarships for school, has not been distributed because many of the children of deceased soldiers have not yet reached college age? Most of the soldiers who die are relatively young and would likely have only young children (elementary school). It could be years before a significant number actually reach college age.

Not that I am a Hannity supporter, I am not. I am just trying to rationalize this out before we go on an attack that might prove embarrassing if the explanantion is as simple as this.

18. Yes he is
The Freedom concerts objective is to provide scholarships to family members of deceased veterans.

They already receive education benefits through the VA.

The Freedom Alliance is a rip-off, keeping most of the donations to themselves.
