D. James Kennedy
I hate to say this. It really is a terrible thing to say. But, while I never wished any harm on him while he was alive... I am glad he is dead:

1. James Kennedy was in a coma, but the church lied to get those dollars and cents coming in....
Also, he always seemed to me to be another Larry Craig. His belief that gays needed to be de-gayed and that they were looking for a "daddy" sounds mighty perverse to me.

3. and the there is this...
from the article:

"A skilled musician who played clarinet and was a marching-band drum major, he attended the University of Tampa on a music scholarship. He dropped out to teach at an Arthur Murray dance studio, where he gave lessons to his future wife."

Wonder if Jimmie might have been a bit of a toe-tapper at one time?

4. No reason to beat yourself up over it.
The world's a slightly better place.

5. Wow. I didn't know anything about the bastard.
But after reading that article, I wish he had been born dead.

6. I'll say this. He was not entirely a hypocrite
I think he was sincere in his belief that only Christians of a certain type were fit to hold power of any kind. He also was honest about his end goal, which was this: to make sure that such people took over every institution of society and then retained power by any means necessary.

I also think he was sincere in his stated belief that "God's law" (as interpreted by him) should be the supreme law of the land, above the Constitution and everything else.

His bold honesty made him scary.

8. All the more reason.
Those "What God really meant was..." people are scary.
