16. Yeah, his usual MO. Talk big when your plan can't possibly be put into action.
He's a party servant whenever it matters, and a faux renegade whenever it's safe.

It's hilarious that he's been able to run that scam for so long and sucker new people every time. He always does the same thing.

Craig Aide Says He's Likely to Leave

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Larry Craig has all but dropped any notion of trying to complete his term, and is focused on helping Idaho send a new senator to Washington within a few weeks, his top spokesman said Thursday.

"The most likely scenario, by far, is that by October there will be a new senator from Idaho," Craig spokesman Dan Whiting told the Associated Press.

The only circumstances in which Craig might try to complete his term, Whiting said, would require the overturning by Sept. 30 of his conviction for disorderly conduct in a men's room at the Minneapolis airport, as well as Senate GOP leaders' agreement to restore Craig's committee leaderships posts taken away this week.

Those scenarios are unlikely, Whiting said.

More at link above.....

Which still doesn't say for sure if he will or he won't. Just that unless he gets his charges dropped he's likely to step down.

anymore than Bush plans to be a great president. But their intentions were good.

20. Question - Is this Constitutionally sound?
I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time, but when the people elect someone, the guy resigns and something like the RNC decides who to put in his place, is this sort of thing intended by the Constitution? Or would it vary from state to state?

22. Crap!
Every time someone on CNN or Fox reads a headline with the word "Craig", some Democrat somewhere gains a few more votes in the next congressional election.

Ah well, take these gifts when they come, and be happy.
