No Golf for Condi
It seemed like a good idea at the time ... a round of golf course diplomacy with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has succumbed to the security stranglehold at an Asia Pacific summit in Sydney.

1. LOL, I've got to laugh...the risk of protesters rushing her while golfing was too great!
I often wonder about the existential effect of being universally despised throughout the world as are Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, etc, in spite of all the money they have.

This is one of the more concrete examples. MKJ

3. Good!
Thousands of people in Sydney have been inconvenienced - hell, they've been shut out of their own city.

Why should a bunch of privileged arseholes be allowed to carry on with their usual country club routines?

4. I'm sure she's not too disappointed.
Those golf shoes don't show off her legs as well as what she usually wears.

5. Good. I want these people to be prisoners of their own machines
I don't want them to be able to go anywhere alone, have any privacy or be able to enjoy any situation because they must live in fear of what people will do to them as a result of their actions. It may take us a long time to actually throw them in prison, but not being able to go anywhere freely and enjoy themselves is a start.

6. Maybe they can find an indoor game with balls, holes, and a putter.
Tiddly winks?

7. I'd like to see her try some kangaroo boxing.
It might straighten out her smile.

8. I had no idea it was like this:
"Parts of Sydney have effectively become a ghost town with a huge steel and concrete fence sealing off an exclusion zone where leaders of the 21 Pacific rim economies will meet over the next few days."

"Armed police are patrolling the streets and the harbour waters, helicopters buzz constantly overhead and snipers have set up in key positions, much to the frustration of Sydney residents who have complained of draconian measures."

10. The more protection you need from the people, the more evil you're doing behind that protection

11. Best response to Rawstory article:
Thank goodness for Australia that this golf game did not take place.

I believe that Rice hides extra clubs in aluminum tubes, has a tendency to leak tanker oil ooze on the green and in the water hazards, and likely to respond to the warning call "fore" with "five."

Finally, they would likely have to build a gallery for 8000 secret service agents and her grand piano, which would likely collapse because it had been poorly bridged. :D
