Spat breaks out over Rudd-Bush meeting
Yeah, because they wouldn't want the international news to carry footage of * creating yet ANOTHER diplomatic debacle:

Earlier, Mr Rudd's office accused Prime Minister John Howard of trying to block television footage of the meeting, on the sidelines of Sydney's APEC summit.


Mr Howard's office denied having any involvement in the White House's decision about camera crews at the meeting.

The official program, released by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C), says only stills photographers will be allowed to record the meeting, to be held at Mr Bush's Sydney hotel.

A PM&C spokesman said that was done at the request of the White House.
