1. That would be a serious lack of judgement.
And what does "gassed" mean?

"Draper writes that Bush was "gassed" after an 80-minute bike ride at his Crawford, Tex., ranch on the day before Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast and was largely silent during a subsequent video briefing from then-FEMA Director Michael D. Brown and other top officials making preparations for the storm."

3. I was wondering what "gassed" meant as well. Anybody know?
Sounds like he was trying to make up an excuse for Bush's inability to concentrate on Katrina.

4. It means "intoxicated"
I don't think the author meant to say he was drunk, just intellectually wobbly after an intense cardio effort. How this could be distinguished from his normal level of competence, I don't have a clue.

2. I doubt it...
I suspect Rove was the key talker for this book and has admitted he's on a "path" to remake Bush* and obviously revise history for the sake of Bush* legacy.... I'd imagine fingering Roberts for this incredibly bad choice somehow would make the boy king (and his brain) appear less moronic to the base...

6. Yeah, Rove comes off looking pretty good in the published excerpts.
Funny how this book comes out just as he leaves DC with a "Good Riddance" banner over his head. If we have to choose between Rove and Roberts as to who is telling the truth, I'm slightly more comfortable going with Roberts.

7. Could be that he saw her as someone to be swayed
by an "alpha male" such as himself (as he perceives himself to be) based on her record of supplication to Dumbya.

But then he got Alito - his "separated by birth" cosmic philosophical twin.

So now he denies all, after getting it all with Alito.

8. Yes, Alito is indeed his "cosmic philosophical twin." Good point.
