3. I am terribly saddened and disappointed by the ignorance of many of those of the younger
generations as to the role that unions have played in getting for them, all the benefits and perks that they now enjoy in their high-paying corporate jobs. I was appalled at hearing some young corporate woman in an elevator recently saying that she saw no purpose for unions in this day and age. I truly wanted to slap her ignorant face and point out a few facts to her. The only thing that stopped me was the rapidity with which the elevator reached her destination and she got off the elevator with her equally ignorant contemporaries.
4. I'm disappointed too on how working people have
been suckered in to believing that unions are filled with lazy people who are wanting something for nothing. All we want is our fair share and a better standard of living. It amazes me how working people can be had by cheap labor conservatism.
