Edited on Fri Aug-31-07 08:57 PM by NNN0LHI
Would the average vice cop have shown deference to that kind of power regardless of the persons political affiliation and given the Senator a warning and have sent him on his way?

I don't mean act corruptly by looking for a bribe or anything. But an officer is kind of allowed to use his own judgment in these kinds of situations. And I just have a feeling that when Craig handed him his Senate ID card and said to the arresting officer, "What do you think about that?", he fully expected that the cop was going to back off.

I also suspect this scenario has occurred in the past.

What do you guys think?

2. I got that feeling too
it worked before so he thought it would work again. This can't be his first time doing something like this, or even his second if you count the guy who came forward in DC.
