Obama Statement on the Resignation of Alberto Gonzales (and a side note by me...)
Obama Statement on the Resignation of Alberto Gonzales
Washington DC | August 27, 2007

Barack Obama today released the following statement on the resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

"I have long believed that Alberto Gonzales subverted justice to promote a political agenda, and so I am pleased that he has finally resigned today. The President needs to nominate an Attorney General who will be the people's lawyer, not the President's lawyer, and in an Obama Administration that person will first and foremost defend and promote the rights and liberties enshrined in our Constitution," said Obama.

Side Note:

I already emailed your office, but in the off chance some of your close friends/campaign workers read here I thought I would cover this base as well.

One of the few bookmarks I have in my toolbar folder is for the list of US Senators. And I pretty much hit up everyone of the D's on that list every two days or so, and especially on days like today with Gonzales quitting.

As you are running for president I expected some statement on this issue. But this is not the first time I have went to your senate site and not seen anything at all relating to important news stories. Hillary is kicking ass on that front. And I am no fan of Hillary let me tell you :)

YOU DO HAVE ONE though on your campaign site :)

I know it all sounds petty, and probably is - it just seems odd that important statements you make and news is not synced up with your Senate site (and your campaign site has RSS feed, so maybe your senate site could get that info from there....)

You even have some press releases from a day or more ago not on the senate site, and yet some from today are there.

Just trying to point out some bumps in the road, impressions seem to mean a lot in elections (Just ask Dennis).
