USA Today Reporter Asked "Where Did All The Money GO?"
Edited on Sat Aug-25-07 07:18 AM by ThomWV
On Washington Journal this morning a gentleman called in and asked Richard Willing (USA Today National Reporter) where all the money found in Iraq (Saddam's hoard) and the money from oil sales is going? His response? He just chuckled and said "I don't know."

And he calls himself a reporter; indeed, USA Today calls itself a newspaper.

1. I'd like to know where the 1,000,000/soldier per year
is going. Every boot we put on the ground in Iraq appears to cost us $1,000,000 per year on top of the normal defense budget. That is a stunning cost.

2. Its the overhead cost of support provided by Halliburton and others
Take the cost of the contractors in Iraq and divide it by 125,000 troops and a million bucks per GI becomes easy to understand.
