So Bush to compare Iraq to Vietnam
In a speech he's going to give today he'll be making direct comparisons between the two wars. At least he's finally admitting Iraq is a quagmire.

2. The similarities for Bush are striking:

1. He used his daddy's influence and friends to insulate him from the real conflict.
2. He takes a lot of time off from his current assignment.
3. Now that he has totally fucked things up, it's time to get the hell out and let someone else clean up the mess.

8. Only if it's the revisionist history of the Vietnam War
You know, the one where Vietnamese peasants were united in their opposition to the Viet Cong and if those Communist traitors in Congress had just just let our troops kill more peasants in more places like My Lai and turn Vietnam into a parking lot everything would have been fine. The one where it really was necessary to destroy Vietnam in order to save it, and where Americans were doft for not being willing to do that. Whatever happened to the nation of John Wayne?
