Dead miner's pal taunts owner with 1 dollar bill

UTAH | Fury over safety breaks out at funeral

August 22, 2007
BY CHELSEA J. CARTER

HUNTINGTON, Utah -- With six trapped coal miners all but left for dead in a crumbling mountain, families and friends vented their frustration at the mine's owner Tuesday and asked: Was it too dangerous to be working there in the first place?

At a funeral Tuesday for one of the three rescue workers killed, a friend of one of the trapped miners confronted mine co-owner Bob Murray and accused him of skimping on the rescue efforts. He then handed Murray a dollar bill.

''This is just to help you out so you don't kill him,'' the man said.

Murray's head snapped back. When the man wouldn't take back the bill, Murray threw the money on the ground. ''I'll tell you what, son, you need to find out about the Lord,'' Murray said.

1. Who's lord?
I can't believe Murray threw the money on the ground, obviously that's his lord. What a way to treat people.

3. Murray worships the lord of profit.
First commandment is "Love thy profits more than thy neighbor.'

4. The method they were using to pull those pillars was nothing less
than suicide. Murray should have to pay for recovering those bodies, it can be done, and it will be very expensive. MSHA should have never let the mine extract those load bearing pillars and they should have taken immediate control of the mine after the ribs exploded in the first place.

Murray is a evil idiot.

5. Nerve...
That hit a nerve with Boss Hogg on crack..

All the families and friends of the miners should do exactly the same thing.

See how long it takes that sucker to crack wide open and go into a full blown psychotic break.

6. Why is it
that when the republican scum are called on because of their inhuman acts, they pretend to be religious.

Any real Christian knows that there is not a republican in office today that believes in the Christian God. A god maybe but one more akin to the devil and MONEY.
