The Dem Talking Point On Impeachment
How many times are we going to hear the dem’s talking point on IMPEACHMENT, the one where they say it sucks all the air out of the room? Dodd said it on Hardball tonight, my usually progressive Rep. Nadler said it last week, Biden said it. Others have said it. Yet. Municipalities all over the country are voting for IMPEACHMENT. They did it in LA, last night and they, unbelievably, did it in the OC. In fact it’s getting to be that they’re doing it everywhere but in DC. What it ‘s going to take to get Congress to listen? Below are links which begin to tell the story of what is happening in this country, up to the DC perimeter, regarding IMPEACHMENT.

6. Bruce Fein Says It Really Well
"President Woodrow Wilson recanted his no-war pledge, President Franklin D. Roosevelt disowned his balanced budget promise and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., should learn from those examples. She should reconsider her "impeachment is off the table" pledge. As Ralph Waldo Emerson advised, "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines."

We are bedeviled by the hobgoblin of little minds and small statesmen.

19. If that wasn't actually somewhat close to the truth, that would be funny as hell!

For the Mystical Powers of the Force, read the Mighty Wurlitzer and the Greatest Propaganda Machine in all of human history.

And that, apparently, is enough to choke any Democratic Leader into line.

9. Democrats have never walked in lockstep about anything except keeping Bush in office
I wonder why they are so unified against impeachment? You'd think that someone would be listening to his/her constituents or reading the Constitution.

10. The Latest MSNBC Live Vote Poll on Impeaching bush*
Live Vote
Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment? * 488522 responses

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
88%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
4.2%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.
5.6%

I don't know.
1.8%
Not a scientific survey. Results may not total 100% due to rounding.

12. I had another DUer on another thread say the American people don't want to impeach.`
And the polls prove it. This is NOT what I'm seeing. Congress ignores the American people at its own peril.

Perhaps its time to continue the evolution of this "Glorious Experiment," and begin to move toward a more DIRECT form of Democracy. One that doesn't require a middle-man with questionable allegiances that is subject to bribery and graft.

14. Here's some data on what the American People want
And have wanted since before the election.

Of course, even these "peek under the bed" convoluted, euphemized poll terrified the beltway. So the moratorium on just plain asking impeachment up or down has been maintained.

The one exception was the http://www.americanresearchgroup.com/">recent ARG poll (search for impeach), which actually reflects the minimal success the DC Dems have had in battling against impeachment.

Still, the results "shocked" the Euphemedia.

18. Nothing. No action, no cime overtly performed, can move this Imperial Congress
They will NOT go up against Caesar.

Whatever the reasons, and surely there must be some that we are not seeing or hearing, that is the bottom line.

There is nothing beyond "They WILL NOT go up against Caesar."

That tells the whole story.
