5. They're not on speaking terms, so I think not.
Hillary would never lower herself to the level of being a VP, at any rate, nor would she feel that a young freshman senator from a state she expects to have in the bag on her own power would bring anything to the ticket. Totally besides her personal loathing of the man for daring to consider himself her equal.

8. A running mate for Edwards would be a better choice so he can be
groomed for 2016.

14. Sure ...
But I don't think she'll necessarily ask him. Not because they have been quarreling: he'll be first at her side if/when she is nominated, and they'll be hugging like long lost siblings. And after all, Kerry grudgingly chose Edwards, whom he didn't like.

But then, maybe she would ask him: it would be a daring ticket. But I had a funny feeling when I saw Wes Clark at Yearly Kos that she might ask someone like that. They're friends, and the Clintons have been grooming him. Plus he lends all kinds of national security gravitas. Could be wrong though: I think he'd rather be Sec Def. But he sure has been winkingly cryptic about the whole running thing. Maybe he expects to run for veep. Everyone's running for HIllary's Veep.

22. Why? Because he's black? Or because he's not black enough?
Wanna bet? First woman presidential candidate, first black VP candidate. IF Clinton wins the nomination, Obama is her VP pick. No doubt in my mind on that one. Have you seen the crowds that man draws? She'd be NUTS not to choose him.

Just so you know, I have no dog in this fight. I have no clue who I will vote for out of the current crop of candidates. None of them really turn me on.

I'm waiting for Gore to get in.

25. We here at DU often fail to acknowledge we are -not- average Democrats,
let alone average voters in general. I daresay few of us would refuse to vote for a black man or a white woman (some would do so grudgingly) but much of America including many Democrats will say one thing in public and do the exact opposite in the privacy of the polling place. It sucks but it's a fact.
