Do you think Condi Rice is a strong possibility for the rethug's VP choice?
Some pundits in the corporate MSM are touting a Guiliani/Rice vs Clinton/Obama match-up for 08. Of course, these are spinners pushing the almighty dollar in the increasingly ever-so-conservative media (minus Keith Olbermann:)).

I see Condi Rice as another lapdog in Shrub's corrupt regime; yet I can also fathom Condi as the rethugs simplistic answer to the DEMS having both a woman and minority candidate on their ticket.

I'm still reserving a small part of wishful-thinking brain space for a Gore/Clark ticket - which would clean the clock of the rethugs even in red states! Yet back to the reality of the moment:

Do you think Rice is a likely choice as the rethug's VP candidate?

1. No. She's a lightning rod with too many questions about her personal life.
Yes, it should not be a factor, but it is.

3. Giuliani's led in rethugs polls are as inexplicable as Hillary's
...in DEM polls???

I agree spanone, Rudi seems like a very unlikely choice for the redstaters (particularly from southern states), but the MSM keeps touting him and Hillary as frontrunner's. I'm at a total loss to explain Clinton's theoretical popularity either - but ya know how the MSM wags the tail of the dog anyway.

I don't think Condi is a wild eyed choice, some media executive has already dreamed up the ratings push on this!

6. Condi is as fresh as month old fish heads. This lap dog is done.
Isn't it ironic? ......
No, it hilarious!

The repukes just tripped all over themselves touting their "ethnics" every chance they got, but the "ethnics" (Condi, Collin, Fredo) allowed themselves to be so totally compromised in service to the Chimp-Tex Boss Man. And now, none of them have any future in a position of public trust.

Like the Black mind that the college fund add proclaims is such a terrible thing to waste, so, too, Bush has produced its own corollary: your Black/Brown (whatever) integrity is a terrible thing to waste.

And waste it Condi surly did.

10. What do you mean 'counter"? Do you think they give a shit?
About appealing to black voters? Do you think they care about any woman's vote that isn't in lock step with her man's?

11. Rice is a possibility for VP but Giuliani won't be the R nominee
Frankly, I don't think that the Republican Party is going to nominate anyone but a white Christian male for president or vice president. They're just not ready to think beyond that, no matter how much lip service they give.

14. She's one of the most blurred and nearly invisible Secretaries of State ever.
She has almost no public profile.

She doesn't represent a significant voting constituency that Democrats can't match or beat easily.

She doesn't win California for the Pukes.

She seems to have accomplished nothing whatsoever in her tenure as Sec. of State.

The Iraq War has cast a very long shadow on Dr. Rice, a woman who appeared to ignore a threatening memoranda involving our national security.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee regards her as a silver-tongued flibbityjibbit, and that's on a good day.

She's elusive, evasive, and dishonest. And she ain't down home.

I think her odds at this point are very poor of seeing a spot on the Pukes' ticket in 08.
