Oh Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations
For years we've heard that high gas prices are caused by the difficulty Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations are having in getting through the environmental red tape so they can build that one more refinery that will help them meet our demand. You see, the corporations are so innocent in all this. They just wanna do the right thing. We're the petulant ones, demanding affordable gas **and** a safe environment.

Shame on us.

Just today, I'm hearing about milk prices going up to $5.00 a gallon. Same cry from Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations. This time its that we're demanding too much milk. I mean, how could we possibly have expected Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations to anticipate that a nation of 300 million could grow to 325 or 330 million? We just expect too much.

Shame on us.

And don't get me started on how much we fat Americans are costing Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations. I feel bad that they're only back charging us $20 or $30. We should have to pay MUCH more. Imagine the pain and suffering of Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations as they deal with their angst over our well-being. And how DARE we question why health care for everyone isn't their focus or isn't provided. We should be damned happy we get a job and a uniform and place to pin on our flair.

Shame on us.

I feel really awful this morning. I can't IMAGINE how Those POOOOOOOOR Put-upon Corporations are going to weather this storm.

Somehow, it MUST be my fault.

5. Don't diss Mattel .... How could they have anticipated that ......
.....moving production to country notorious for environmental and safety and health 'issues' might have led to lead in their paint??

I mean ..... really ...... what's WRONG with you???

Shame on you.

8. I'm so sorry. I bow my head in shame.
Hey, I used to live in southern cal and a friend of mine worked at the Xerox building which was right next to Mattel down there in El Segundo. I would go over for lunch and thought it might be fun to work for a toy company but an employee who worked there said it wasn't all fun and games. If you had an idea for a new toy it would be theres and you would have no rights.

10. Use of "the icon" in this thread is totally unnecessary.
I thought about it when I wrote the OP ...... but yanno .... if a reader needs to see *that* icon in *this* thread ..... they just don't get it, now do they?
