My LTTE on Republican "chutzpah" makes it to print

I liked it better when I submitted it a week or two back... I'm not so sure now, but it made it.

HISTORY REWRITTEN

The dictionary defines the word ‘chutzpah’ as “Unmitigated effrontery, impudence or gall.” These days, if you look up that word in the dictionary, the picture next to the word would be of the Republican leadership in the United States Senate – Mitch McConnell and John Kyl, in particular. Using a recordshattering amount of filibusters to block legislation that would help to protect our troops, expand health care for children and impose lobbying reform, they have effectively blocked almost all of the bills that have passed the House. These Republicans, and their media allies actually now have the chutzpah to claim it is the fault of the Democrats that this legislation has not passed. Meanwhile, only two years ago, it was Republican senators who threatened to use the Trent Lott Nuclear Option to destroy the filibuster and get an up or down vote on legislation. It is not just chutzpah, it is an entire re-writing of history.

Small correction - it should be "number of filibusters" not "amount of filibusters."
