Even the crazoids are catching on.....
Along I-5 in Washington state, there's a billboard (grandfathered from before the regs against billboards.) famous for its rightwingwhackjob views. You know "US out of UN", etc.

Yesterday, I noticed the message on one side was "Will we still have our freedoms when the war is over?"

First time I ever agreed with that asshole.

It does show that the whackjobs are concerned. Maybe the prospect of President (H) Clinton or President Obama having all that power scares them as bad as we're scared by Dumbya having that power.

6. LOL! "You have a message from headquarters." "Headquarters? What is it?"
"It's a big building with a bunch of generals n' stuff, but we don't need to worry about that right now."

:)

5. It's a few miles south of Chehalis.
The guy who owns it used to have it at his slaughterhouse. He was forced to move it a little way down the road and slightly farther off the freeway.

Lewis County loves their nutjobs.

3. Wow--that's amazing!
I haven't been up that way in several years, used to go to the Seattle-Bremerton area a lot, and so of course saw that billboard many, many times. Never thought I'd see it say anything that even remotely resembled my "Liberal" political views. Knew that guy was a regular John Bircher. Wonders never cease, I guess. Thanks for sharing!

7. Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I think it's still supposed to be a right-wing statement.
The way I see it, he's saying that if we end the war now, the "Islamofascists" will overrun the country and take away our freedoms.

11. I think that's the correct interpretation
That guy is such a whack job, I've contemplated many times (I'm usually on the road for another couple of hours after passing that sign, either north or south) how to sabotage the sign and bring it down. I haven't done it, and as a good American, I would not do it, but it's a fun way to pass 10 or 15 minutes.

That sign has been going on for years, which speaks of a highly dedicated OCD compulsion. There was a young woman in my college days on whom I had a crush, but when she talked in positive terms about that billboard, I readjusted my thinking, and have long been grateful for a mistake I never made.

12. I know lots of fans of that billboard, and I doubt it.
There's a huge undercurrent of dissatisfaction with the Patriot act, wiretaps, etc. etc. among the hard right.

The republican party has a huge problem with their nutjob base.

10. I've spent 6 years trying to reason with crazoids on that
And they never had an answer. It was that they wouldn't come out and say they didn't believe there would ever be a Democratic President ever again.
