Another sign of how far we've fallen...
I was just reminded reading these threads about the wife of the French President outright snubbing our President and First Lady, and the chimp making comments about how he would go to France if he could mountain bike there, and taking pride in knowing absolutely no French, that we've really fallen far down into the pit, haven't we? I mean, the fucking French for crissakes.

This is what a real President and First Lady look like, these are people you can take pride in:

8. The price that is paid for dumbing the Presidency down to appeal to
the "base" is having the world see our Prez. as a brain-damaged rube.

11. Jackie Kennedy had something called "class"..
Contrast that with our Idiot-in-Chief talking like a 9 year old - "Iff'n ah kin go bikin'" - his clueless wife talking about hurricane "Ka-rina" and the Spawn riding in the limo and sticking her tongue out at the people.

Oh, yeah...and Rose Kennedy was always a lady, and behaved with dignity, despite having endured so many tragedies in her life. Unlike Babs who opined that living in the Astro Dome was a step up for the Katrina victims and that she couldn't worry her "beautiful mind" about the deaths of our troops in Iraq.

Blech!!! :puke:

15. I think JFK was killed because of a second term.
I asked my mom once, who is still not a Kennedy fan, if JFK would have been re-elected in 1964. Her response was an emphatic "Yes." Kennedy had the charisma and power to take this country where the ruling elites simply did not want it to go...

The same goes for RFK.

20. Agreed, he was taking on people who had a lot to lose with a..
second JFK term. They killed him, and then they covered it up. It's a crime that goes straight to the power core of this country, they've never let go since.

18. I totally disagree.
He was disgusted with the direction that the advisers from Wall St. were leading him. After the Bay of Pigs, he was at the point of only listening to Bobby, and telling the military-industrial complex to shove it. MLK was grateful for the help as well. He done good, so Wall St. wanted him dead.
