The next 18 months--I think we're in for "interesting times"
Edited on Fri Aug-10-07 04:32 PM by Arkham House
...just a hunch. I dunno if the planets are in alignment, if LSD has been poured into our national water supply, or if the shit is just heading very rapidly for the fan...but the next 18 months are going to be the wildest ride since 1968. I can't say exactly *what* weird stuff is going to come down--anymore than someone in August, 1967, could have predicted the insanity to come...I just know in my bones it's going to happen. The next year or so is going to be remembered...:-(...

3. Hope so -- I think the feeling is this...

I feel like we've all been automatons working in our masters' money machine since 2000 (edit: probably a lot longer than that). Whatever humans do when they wake up ought to be extraordinary.

in the U.S.:

10. I had to google it
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html

It's the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive establishing a "comprehensive national policy on the continuity of Federal Government structures and operations and a single National Continuity Coordinator responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of Federal continuity policies. This policy establishes "National Essential Functions," prescribes continuity requirements for all executive departments and agencies, and provides guidance for State, local, territorial, and tribal governments, and private sector organizations in order to ensure a comprehensive and integrated national continuity program that will enhance the credibility of our national security posture and enable a more rapid and effective response to and recovery from a national emergency."

12. It seems to be DUers use of initials that throws many people off track!
The initials and the nicknames for people. I still don't know who "Tweety" is. It seems as if some DUers are trying to create an "in clique". It is distracting!
