.S. commander says Iraqi cleric Sadr in Iran

http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSGRA02761420070810?pageNumber=2
U.S. commanders said this week that nearly three quarters of attacks against their troops were now coming from Shi'ite militants, many believed to have links to Iran.

On Wednesday, U.S. forces said they killed 30 Shi'ite militants in an air strike during a raid in Sadr City. Hospital sources put the death toll at 13, including at least one woman.

1. Sadr's histrionic enough that there should be little doubt where he is, no? (nt)

3. Iran?
Edited on Fri Aug-10-07 03:36 PM by Africa1
Perhaps the Bush regime,to get the Bulk of american support they could try and tie Iran into 9 11?

That was very successfully for them leading up to their attack on Iraq, when they started the Saddam 911/Saddam propaganda that paved the way for their aggression against Iraq

Think it would be a stretch for them to try and pull off an Iran 911,Iran 911,Iran 9 11 Thingie? just a thought

They are chomping at the bit for another shock and awe on Iran,to try and bring dubya's numbers out of the gutter.

Because its only another so called terrorist attack, that might give them a free hand to attack another Arab state, and bring king georges numbers up.

Cheney already said about a year or so ago, that if there is any other terrorist actions here, that we should attack and bomb Iran, whether they had anything to do with it or not.
Why Bush/Cheney are still in office is incomprehensible

4. We change enemies faster than I can keep up with--
I guess it all depends on the political purpose. Al Qaeda in Iraq was getting to be so "last week"--it didn't help at all in ginning up a reason to bomb Iran. Time to blame the Shi'ites, and whatever shady link to Iran we can exploit!
