This makes my brain hurt...
Dropouts
The United States has quietly withdrawn from an international study comparing math and science students.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20205125/site/newsweek/

Two quotes in this piece make me want to scream...

"Conspiracy theorists suggest that the U.S. government withdrew from the study without making any announcement because it anticipated another poor showing. "

Why is it a conspiracy theory for someone to think this????

And...

"Advocates for the study are looking for private funders to step in and pay for the test. Patsy Wang-Iverson, who works for the Gabriella and Paul Rosenbaum Foundation in Stockton, N.J., a nonprofit organization that supports math advancement, has been approaching other foundations for money to sponsor the two-and-half-hour test. “We need this money in the next month so that Educational Testing Services can begin the crucial work needed to get the test off the ground.” If she can come up with the money, schools in individual states and consortiums of states will be approached to participate in the study. Are you listening Bill Gates?"

here we go, the softening up of america to privative public schools.

Arrrrgggg!!! :banghead:

There is no way in hell that lame-ass could: 1. have an idea as complex as that; 2. be able to compose a sentence to convey that thought.

I cannot even imagine being a speech writer for that ass clown.....knowing at any given moment he will either stray from the prepared text and screw up the entire message or he will trip over his tongue and turn your careful labor into a joke.

3. Here's how I read it...

anything (other than the Pentagon) that requires federal dollars, is just a waste. Our federal government has far better uses for that money..like weaponizing space.

4. 3 out of 2 people have trouble with fractions......trouble with math and science?
The Earth is flat AND the sun revolves around the Earth. Evolution is false because the Bible says so.

What do we expect when politicians attack scientists because they don't like the results, i.e. global warming?
