Why Telecom Co.'s & Bush Define American Fascism

An interesting part of the FISA debate concerns the very strong effort by gargantuan telecom's like AT&T to get full legal immunity for their participation in Der Smirkenfuhrer's illegal spying programs. I believe that there was language in the despicable bill passed just before recess that addressed this very issue. It appears the quid pro quo of this arrangement is the death of 'Net neutrality and the further monopolization of American communication markets.

The pact between the forces of BushCo and the gargantuan corporate interests in the telecom industry illuminate our American flavor of fascism.

I am also shocked that there has not been more discussion about the exact wording of the FISA legislation. We are told that the legislation ONLY applies to domestic-foreign or foreign-foreign communications. It does not apply to domestic-domestic communications. The questions not asked are what if AT&T is running ALL or selected parts of domestic-domestic communications through a switching station in Vancouver or Juarez ON PURPOSE? What if part of the quid pro quo agreement between BushCO and AT&T requires that the telecomms route all identified Democratic targets communications through a foreign country thereby making it fair game for eavesdropping? More simply, is AT&T consciously aiding and abbetting BushCo by making sure that Americans communications touch at least one foreign country before being connected?

Why are no Democrats in Congress asking these questions?
