Who caved and who did not- We should all write them
The ones that voted against unwarranted surveilance should be given a pat on the back from each of us. The YEA votes should hear how disgusted we are and be told to enjoy their ride in the Senate while they have the chance since it will not last long.

1. Actually, that list is incomplete
Pelosi caved, by not keeping the bill off the House floor.
Reid caved, by not keeping the bill off the Senate floor.

Clinton, Dodd, Biden and Obama caved by not placing a hold on the bill and forcing the Senate to choose between passing the bill and going on vacation.

Yes, the people who voted for this atrocity deserve all the scorn we can heap on them. But don't forget the cowards who hid behind procedure and allowed this bill to pass.

5. Why send a note?
Just pick up your phone and start talking. I'm sure Bush will forward your message to them.

10. Glad you're finally coming to terms with it
Tell me, how will the new changes help us catch the BIG BAD TERRA-ISTS better than before? Remember, this is a bill that was originally written to help head off nuclear war within a 26-minute window (travel time of sub-launched nukes). How in hell does Bush need more flexibility than that?

11. If you ever read FISA and understood how it works
you'd realize these changes just shreded the Fourth Ammendment

A saying comes to mind

Those willing to give up liberty for a little security deserve neither

12. LOL
Nadir, I read it very closely to see how clsely it mirrored the one we use in military intelligence........

All I can say is it is a great start, hopefully in 6 months the same 41 Democrats will enact all the changes needed and do away with even more restrictions....

It shreded nothing except the faux progressives attempt to hide the fact that they are jack booted thugs on the left, not really much different then the freper morons......

13. Yeah right
I have read it as well, and the little detail about how it affects US Citisens sans a warrant is the problem

And I do hope in six months

1.- People are paying attention. Not likely

2.- The Fascists on both sides of the aile don't get their way.
