Watch the CBS Early Show tomorrow!!

They are taping live from here in Kansas City. We have been ENCOURAGED to come and be in the audience and BRING SIGNS! Every political and activism group I belong to has sent out emails and made phone calls telling people to come and bring signs. (The first email I got was from an elected public official wanting to know if our IMPEACH group was interested in coming!)

And to top it all off, the musical guest is some country band who we hear is big on bush, the war and LOVES America. And they have sent out emails to their fans encouraging them to come.

It sounds like it will be a frickin circus!


The AFSC will be there with these (there are 10 of them and they are on 13 feet tall polls!):






The campaign team for the Democrat running for governor is coming with what they described as "large" signs.




Our IMPEACH group will be there with several banners. And I will be wearing my shirt and hat:






There are also some election fraud and health care reform activists planning on attending.

So set your TIVOs or whatever OR turn on your TVs, tuned in to CBS at 7am tomorrow and watch the circus from Kansas City!! :woohoo:

28. I don't know what's up

A couple of my friends from Camp Casey have gone to The Today Show and Good Morning America several times with signs like END THE WAR, and network security has kicked them out every single time. So when I first got the email about this CBS show, I thought well no way will we get to do this. But as the week has gone on (I first heard about this on Monday), the progressive community here has exploded with plans to be there. At this point, there are so many groups planning on being there in the morning that there will be a scene if they try to make us leave. And it's outside, so how far away can they send us? The flags we are carrying are on 13 foot high poles!

Plus the first email about this came from an elected official to our IMPEACH group. She said the show said yes, please encourage people to come and bring signs. (I wonder if they understand what kind of signs we are bringing? LOL)

I also heard from a guy who went to an Early Show taping in Dallas with signs and he got an hour of air time before security made him leave. And he was all by himself.

So at this point, I am hopeful.
